Mazda RX 8
Mazda RX-8 is sports car manufactured by Mazda Motor Corporation. His first appearance in the 2001 North American International Auto Show. It is the successor RX-7 as its predecessor, the RX range is powered by a rotary engine. RX-8 began North American sales of model year 2004th.
The first version of the RX-8, SE3P number of chassis, produced from model year 2003. Powered by RENESIS 13B-MSP (multi-port side) Uankel rotary engine displacing 1.3 liters (2ks654 CCM). At launch, RENESIS is available in standard and high power versions. 4-port standard RENESIS produced 210 hp (160 kW) and was combined with either 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. 6-port high power RENESIS is available only with six-speed manual transmission and is rated at 250 hp (190 KW). The North American market, Mazda reported a revised output rating standard and high power RENESIS shortly after the lauch to 197 hp (147 kW) and 238 hp (177 hp), respectively. The exhaust ports are now located in the side of housing, RENESIS boasted improved fuel efficiency and emissions rating by 13B-REU employees last RX-7, which can be sold in North America.
At launch, RX-8 is available in different models in different markets around the world. Standard models include:
* 6-speed manual “High Power” with a claimed output of between 170 houses (231 hp, 228 hp) and 184 houses (250 hp, 247 hp) and 9,000 rpm RedLine. This model is equivalent to “Type S” three in Japan.
* 5-speed manual “Standard Power” tuned to 141 houses (192 hp, 189 hp) with RedLine reduced to 7500 rpm. This powertrain combination is not available in North America.
* 4-speed automatic set to 141 houses (192 hp, 189 hp) in some markets, while the United States alleges that automatically deliver 158 houses (215 hp, 212 hp).
* 6-speed automatic (available on the U.S. market after 2006) is developing 158 homes (215 hp, 212 hp) and 159 lb · ft (216 N • m) of torque from 7500 rpm to RedLine. This is the revised standards RENESIS, now with two extra input port and high-power version.
